Is a prescription required to use an AVACEN device?
No. All AVACEN devices are non-invasive, gentle heating appliances. Even the AVACEN 100 and Pro series, which are FDA cleared for medical use, do not require a prescription. Can the AVACEN devices be shared?
Yes. All AVACEN devices include numerous ease of use and safety innovations. One of these is a custom, disposable mitt, which allows multiple users to experience the AVACEN Care Method benefits when sharing a single machine.
How much does an AVACEN cost?
The price of an AVACEN 100 or 100-E series device is $2795 (US currency) each. The AVACEN Pro and Pro-E series, intended for high-demand use, sells for $3995 (US currency). The price of any AVACEN device, when compared to other treatments and pharmacology, tends to be much lower over time. Are the AVACEN 100 and the AVACEN Pro devices FDA 510(k) Cleared?
The AVACEN 100 and Pro are Class II Medical Device cleared by the US Food & Drug Administration. They are sold only in the United States as heat therapy system indicated for the temporary relief of minor muscle, joint pain and stiffness; the temporary relief of joint pain associated with arthritis, muscle spasms, minor strains and minor sprains; muscular relaxation; and the temporary increase in local circulation where applied. The AVACEN 100-E and PRO-E devices are not cleared or registered with the FDA in any way; however, carry the European Union CE Mark.
Are the AVACEN devices CE Marked?
The AVACEN 100 and PRO, sold only in the United States, are not CE marked; however, the 100-E and Pro-E family of devices are CE marked as conforming with health, safety and environmental protection standards for products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA).
